ASU Biocollections Tour during the 2024 Entomological Society of America Annual Meeting

During the 2024 Entomological Society of America Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, Arizona State University Biocollections hosted an exclusive tour, drawing over 200 attendees. Participants explored one of the nation’s leading biodiversity repositories, featuring the Natural History Collections and the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) Biorepository. 

The tour highlighted cutting-edge research, curation, and digitization efforts that are biodiversity science. Key features included the ASU Insect Collection, state-of-the art imaging system, innovative data platforms, and advanced preservation techniques. 

Attendees also had the opportunity to network with fellow entomologists and learn from ASU’s expert collections managers. The event successfully showcased the intersection of entomology and innovation, solidifying ASU Biocollections as a leading institution in biodiversity research preservation.
